The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight came out today and I had the pleasure of going to see it with Daniel. I thought that Heath Ledger did a Phenomenal job! It is sad that we will not get to see him grow as an actor, although I doubt he would have ever been able to top that performance! There were a few things that I did not like about the movie, it felt like there were too many story lines going on at once and there weren't enough lose ends to make you excited for the next one. Over all I really enjoyed it! The ending monologue actually made the movie for me. And what can I say... it has Christian Bale in it... Of course I liked the movie! (lol)

Wheeler Farm

Our assignment this week was to take pictures of things at Wheeler Farm. We got to take a picture of the same object near, and then far. I can just hear Grover from Sesame Street saying "Near" (and then running away) "Far" I took the kids with me and actually enjoyed myself quite a bit.

I Scream, U Scream, We All Scream For.....

ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!

After we went to Wheeler Farm, we stopped at Arctic Circle for some i ce cream! It was
so much fun to hang out with them since I hadn't seen them for a week! :)

"I did it myself!"

Bella just got out of the bath and got her pj's on. I heard some commotion in the bathroom and a couple of minutes later Bella came to me and said, "Do you like my hair? I did it myself!" She has such an independent spirit and makes me laugh often!

Little Orphant Annie

Little Orphant Annie James Whitcomb Riley
INSCRIBED WITH ALL FAITH AND AFFECTION
To all the little children:-The happy ones: and sad ones;
The sober and the silent ones; the boisterous and glad ones;
The good ones - Yes, the good ones, too: and all the lovely bad ones.
Little Orphant Annie's come to our house to stay,
An' wash the cups an' saucers up and brush the crumbs away,
An' shoo the chickens off the porch, an' dust the hearth, an sweep,
An' make the fire, an' bake the bread, an' earn her board-an-keep;
An' all us other childern, when the supper-things is done,
A-list'nin to the witch-tales 'at Annie tells about,
An' the Gobble-uns 'at gits you
Ef you
Don't
Watch
Out!
Wunst they wuz a little boy wouldn't way his pryers, -
An' when he went to bed at night, away up-stairs,
His Mammy heerd him holler, an' his Daddy heerd him bawl,
An' when they turn't the kivvers down, he wuzn't there at all!
An' they seeked him in the rafter-room, an' cubby-hole, an' press,
An' seeked him up the chimbly-flue, an' ever'-wheres, I guess;
But all they ever found wuz thist his pants an' roundabout: -
An' the Gobble-uns 'll git you
Ef you
Don't
Watch
Out!
An' one time a little girl 'ud allus laugh an' grin,
An' make fun of ever' one, an' all her blood-an'-kin;
An' wunst, when they was "company," an' ole folks wuz there,
She mocked 'em an' shocked 'em, an' said she didn't care!
An' thist as she kicked her heels, an' turn't to run an' hide,
They wuz two great big Black Things a-standin' by her side,
An' they snatched her through the ceilin' 'fore she knowed what she's about!
An' the Gobble-uns 'll git you
Ef you
Don't
Watch

An' little Orphant Annie says, when the blaze is blue,
An' the lamp-wick sputters, an' the wind goes woo-oo!
An' you hear the crickets quit, an' the moon is grey,
An' the lightnin'-bugs in dew is all squenched away, -
You better mind your parunts, an' yer teachurs fond an' dear,
An' churish them 'at loves you, an' dry the orphant's tear,
An' he'p the pore an' needy ones 'at clusters all about,
Er the Gobble-uns 'll git you

And I Wonder Why I am Tired?

So Daniel and I decided to cook all of our meals for the week in one day. Sounded like a good idea... no cooking for a week? no decisions to make about what to have for lunch or dinner? I am sure I will appreciate it throughout the week, but.... I AM TIRED! :) lol Now the challenge will be putting it in my fridge! :)

Gardner Village

I got to take a bunch of pictures at Gardner Village for one of my photography assignments. Daniel came with me. We had a lot of fun with the assignment. It is always a fun excuse to hang out with him too. :) He has a great artistic eye and I know I am learning more from him than I am from my teacher. Here are my favorite pictures that were taken at Gardner Village.

Fun with Photoshop!

Daniel showed me some really fun things to do with the pictures that I have been taking for my school assignments in photoshop. Here are three of my favorites:

These flowers were purple and pink. My favorite color is Orange so these flowers are really cool now!

There really isn't a butterfly on that reed. In fact that is a picture of a butterfly that we took up at the waterfall a few weeks ago.

This is my personal favorite! I took a picture of Merlin using side lighting for one of my assignments and it made the entire left side of his face black. It was a pretty cool picture all by itself. But this is just his right side of his face twice. He is perfectly symmetrical! I love it! (what a cute kid!)

Update on Daniel

Man life has been so crazy! I can't believe it has been almost two weeks since I made an entry! Guess life just took over for awhile. I just wanted to say that Daniel is recovering well, although I think he is pushing it too hard, but hey, I am not his mother. (Thank goodness! :) )

Thinking of you Daniel

Daniel is in surgery right now to get his hernia repaired. I only have a moment to post this as I need to head back to the hospital. Surgery makes me nervous. Especially when it isn't me.
