57 Years Young! :)

There are so many things I could say about this beautiful woman. :) I have been told that I look like my Mom. To that I say thank you! :) My mom was my best friend growing up. I have never gotten too old to hold her hand. :) She would always ask if she could keep me, and I was always her little sunshine. She always made me feel special and made me feel that I could do anything! :) My Mom always loved and still loves babies so much! It has been so much fun to watch her be a grandmother. And my little Isabella Dianne looks a lot like her Grandma Dianne too! :)

I Love You Mom! And I celebrate the day you were born! :)

And a happy birthday wish to my cousin Jared as well! You have been a wonderful cousin to us! :)

Giving Thanks

This year Thanksgiving didn't have very good timing....
Or maybe it did.

I haven't been feeling very grateful for very many things recently. A lot of things are changing in my life right now, and I haven't been coping very well. The last thing I feel like doing is reflecting on all of the good things in my life. But these are the times that being grateful can be the most productive. :) So although there is a lot going on in my life right now, I am grateful for a lot of things as well. Here are my top ten... (in no particular order)

1. Daniel's love for me
2. My Mom's progress
3. All of the kids
4. Daniel's support
5. The opportunity to go back to school
6. The opportunity to not have to work while going to school
7. Finally getting to change my last name
8. The way Daniel treats the kids
9. The way Daniel treats me
10. My determination to have the life I deserve

It really isn't Thanksgiving without being thankful for the things that I have. And I am truly grateful for the things that I have in my life.

Dear Jordan, Brendan, Trevor

I don't know that you boys will ever read my blog. It's very likely that you won't. But just in case you do, I don't want you to think that I don't love you. I love you with all of my heart. I have taken all of your pictures off of my blog because your father asked me to. So that is the ONLY reason you are not included. You will always be my nephews and I am here for you no matter what. :) I am guessing you won't know me very well, but I want you to know that I love you. -Aunt Lisa
p.s. Don't believe all the bad things you hear about me. :)

Cutest Lil Elves In The Whole Wide World!!

So, I am one of those people that believe that Christmas comes way too early every year. I think that Christmas should be left alone until at least the day after Thanksgiving.... However, Christina sent me a really cute video of Merlin, Charlene and Bella dancing as little elves, so I just had to make a video of all of our little elves and share them with you! Besides elves have to start working BEFORE Thanksgiving anyway... right? There are two different dances... I did not just accidentally put it on there twice... lol Thank you Christina for the fun idea!

Happy Birthday Harrison!!

Fall Fever!

I think the pictures really speak for themselves! The kids were bored and went outside to play. What better to do, than to make a big pile of leaves, climb to the top of a fence and jump off?

That's what I thought. :)

Indoor Soccer

Harrison

I was able to go to two of Harrison's indoor soccer games today. :) It was a lot of fun.... even with 5 kids. :) The end of the second game was really exciting. Harrison's team was down by three and within 2 min they tied the game. With less than a minute left the other team scored again. There were several times they came close to tying up the game again, but the final score was 6-7. The first game finished at 6-6. There was more action in the last for minutes of the second game than there has been I would say in the whole season! :)

Happy Happy Birthday Uncle Mark!!

Today is my Uncle Mark's birthday! :) My Aunt Barbara had Daniel and I take some pictures from their wedding and some older family snapshots and turn them black and white and re size them for the frame that she wanted to put them in. :) Daniel and I had the opportunity to help Barbara put them into frames and watch Mark see them for the first time. Barbara pointed to the picture of Katie and said, "Do you know who that is?" Mark said it was his little princess while his eyes filled with tears. Mark was touched, and I feel blessed to have been part of it! We love you Mark! And wish you a very Happy Birthday!!

Are We Serious?

Okay, I just can't keep quiet anymore. I saw this internet safety program on the internet. I HAVE to tell my opinion about it since I was DIRECTLY impacted by it. Not by the person that altered the picture, but by the people who claim to be victims. We are talking about the first part of the clip, with Lainie talking about what was done to Liam's picture.

Here is the clip for those of you that missed it.

The first thing I have to say is that I COMPLETELY agree with internet safety. I do not include enough information on my blog for anyone to find me. However, I do not protect my pictures because I want people to enjoy them. I have not heard of anyone being hurt by this and I will not live in fear. I do not cyber bully, nor does anyone else I know. (referring to the second part of the clip) I would love for more people to view my blog, right now I don't have very many followers, but I guess my point is that I don't care who views my pictures. (or "steals" them off of my site)

The second thing I have to say is this.... The blog that picture was posted on was viewed LESS THAN twenty times the ENTIRE time the picture was up. Liam was not referred to (implied or directly) as a Neo Nazi. The post was not about Neo Nazi's. I am tired of it being portrayed as an act of Hate when it CLEARLY wasn't. I love how the news is so quick to air something that isn't true. Okay, that being said, Lainie...... Why in the world is it better for you to broadcast that picture to millions of people that watch KSL than it was for it to be on a blog for less than a week and less than 20 views? Hmmmm? And Andrea, how is it better that you took it off of the site and showed Lainie than it was for Daniel to take the picture off of the internet when he realized that it was causing a problem? I am not saying that Daniel or I were right in what happened but please.... how can you not see you are causing the harm you are afraid of?

The third thing I have to say is I have had police call me, TV stations show up at my house, harrassing phone calls, my family treating me different, and I have done NOTHING! It really lets me know who my friends are. If someone can tell me how I deserved any of this..... there is a news story I want to hear. I gave Lainie the chance to talk to Daniel when she told me that she wanted to. She did not choose to. In fact NO ONE has talked to him to this day. A lot of people have created negative opinions about him without knowing what really happened. That makes me sad. He is so amazing. He is a wonderful and loving person and would defend and be there for anyone in our family. I will not say that my entire family have acted inappropriately. There are several of you that love Daniel and I unconditionally. For those of you that don't.... I really don't know what to say. It breaks my heart. I love my family. I am starting to realize that I can't trust some of them, and that is hard for me. I guess everyone's family has issues right? lol

I am more worried about the people that have handled this situation the way it has been handled than anyone on the internet. I have not been hurt on the internet. I have been hurt deeply by people that have claimed to love me.

Okay, I have said my peice.

Thank you... Thank you very much...

Harrison's Images of Greatness presentation took place tonight. :) He has been working on it all school year. Each student got up and recited a riddle and the audience got to answer the question who am I? Here is Harrison's riddle:

Tupelo Mississippi was the place of my birth
On January 8th I came to the earth
I was an only child, and my Mother's only son
But I had loving parents named Gladys and Vernon
My family was poor so we had little money
So I really ate was bread with some honey
When I was young I would save my money
For my favorite treat
And when I got older and made my fortune
A lot of chocolate I did eat
When I was eight my Dad gave me a guitar
It had only three strings but I loved it by far
Several years later I chose to wear my hair like Kris Khale
He was a black man and a blues singer
And his hairstyle was called a ducktail
In 1954 I started my career with wild singing
And hip gyrations
And by 1956 I was an international sensation
On the Ed Sullivan Show in 56 I performed in front of 54 million
And my record sales now to date are more than One Billion
In 1957 I was drafted into the army
And I met my future wife while stationed in Germany
In 1967 Priscilla I did wed
But only one year later my sweet mother was dead
In 1968 Priscilla gave birth to our baby girl
And we brought her home to Graceland
Now known throughout the world
I starred in 33 movies and over 30 #1 hits I did sing
I died on August 16th 1977, and I was known as the King
Who am I?

When he was done he walked of stage and then slid back to the microphone and said "Thank you, Thank you very much"! It was classic! We are so proud of Harrison!
